Platform strengthens management and client services team

December 15, 2010

Platform the specialist PR and marketing agency for the broadcast, digital media and mobile industry, has strengthened its core management team with a number of new hires and promotions. The expansion comes off the back of a number of client wins and a growing demand for PR and communications from the industry.

Gay Bell, CEO and founder of Platform said: “We have worked really hard to create a broad communications offering that focuses on the needs of our clients’ businesses and matches strategy, messaging and tactics with those needs. I believe it’s this attention to commercial success that makes us the agency of choice for so many companies, and a great place for talented individuals to build their PR careers. If the amount of leads and new business we have been getting is a bellwether of the digital TV and media industry, we are in for a healthy year in 2011.”

Platform Chairman Chris Griffin has stepped up to the post of Chief Operating Officer (COO) taking a more hands-on role in the operation of the company. With over 20 years senior management and boardroom experience in the TV, telecoms and digital media industries, Chris will bring a fresh outlook to Platform’s business and will specifically focus on operational excellence and on building an industry leading team of PR talent.

Former GlobeCast PR & Marcoms Manager Tracey Milham, has joined Platform as an Account Director to support the company’s rapidly expanding client portfolio. Tracey will head up a new account group responsible for the strategic direction and day to day running of a number of clients. She will also be tasked with helping to identify and develop areas of new business to expand Platform’s reach in the industry.

Ian Westover has been promoted to Account Director to head up an account group that will include Ericsson, TV Genius and new client Timocco. Ian has been with Platform for four years having joined as a PR executive in 2006. Ian will oversee the strategic running of a number of client accounts, adopting a hands-on approach to campaign implementation, social media strategy and assuming responsibility for clients at high profile industry trade shows and exhibitions.

David Bramley, Senior Account Director and founder of Platform added: “.I am proud of the clients we have today and excited about the growing Platform team. I believe we have everything in place to extend our reach in the digital media and entertainment industry and to bring a greater level of service to all our clients.”
