The app includes a full-screen 14-day programme guide, and the ability to browse recorded shows and launch them from the iPad. TiVo customers can now use their Apple device to look for programmes, study schedules, set up or cancel recordings, find information about an actor, all while still watching whatever is on their TV screen. Users can also link to social services like Facebook and Twitter.
So far, it’s only available in the US. However, Virgin Media is launching a new set-top box powered by TiVo’s technology which could pave the way for a similar app in the UK.
