TNT7 strikes HBO deal

The new Nordic entertainment channel TNT7 which was recently launched by Turner and NonStop Television concluded a package deal with movies and series from HBO, such as Big Love and In Treatment. The new titles will premiere on the channel from April.

From April, new content will be rolled out on TNT7 as the channel has closed a package deal including 40 high profile TV Movies and series from HBO. Series to start airing on the channel include the first season of the Golden Globe Awarded Big Love, and the first season of Golden Globe and Emmy Awarded In Treatment starring Gabriel Byrne, Tell me You Love Me, The Corner and Empire Falls.

Among the movies from HBO are the star-studded titles And Starring Pancho Villa as Himself (Antonio Banderas) Gia (Angelina Jolie), Introducing Dorothy Dandridge (Halle Berry), Real Women Have Curves (America Ferrera), RKO 281 (James Cromwell, Melanie Griffith, John Malkovich), Iron Jawed Angels (Hilary Swank, Anjelica Huston) and Bernard & Doris (Susan Sarandon, Ralph Fiennes)

The Scandinavian launch of TNT7, on March 22nd, is a step in Turner Broadcastings acquisition of Millennium Media Group (MMG) which holds NonStop Television. With TNT7, the TNT brand entered Scandinavia. TNT is owned by Turner Broadcasting TBS and reaches 100.5 million households in the US and through local versions of the channel in Spain, Germany and Turkey. TNT is one of the world’s leading entertainment channels and has produced success series such as The Closer, Men of a Certain Age and Saving Grace
