WISI takes over high-tech company 2wCom

The strategic acquisition of the leading provider of innovative FM/RDS and DVB-S/S2 solutions strengthens the Wilhelm Sihn Jr. GmbH & Co. KG (WISI) has announced the take-over of 2wCom. Since more than two decades 2wCom has been a worldwide established manufacturer and supplier of professional broadcasting products in the field of DVB-S/S2, DVB-T, FM, RDS-TMC and TCP / IP SNMP Management Control Systems. With this strategic move, WISI expands the business portfolio in the professional broadcast market and for associated service providers worldwide.

Crucial for WISI was not only the outstanding technical expertise of 2wcom but most importantly the excellent customer contacts and the highly-qualified and dedicated team behind. 2wCom has been founded in 1996 by the company owner and managing director Werner Drews. Since this time the company has grown rapidly and today it is one of the leading suppliers in Europe for complete DVB-S/S2 Audio & IP satellite system solutions including professional encoders, modulators and advanced digital satellite receiver (IRDs). 2wCom serves all important private and public broadcasters in Europe via its own network of value added resellers.
