Ooyala with Flash Access

August 25, 2011

Ooyala has revealed its online video platform now integrates with Adobe Flash Access software. The new offering combines the leading video publishing, management, analytics and monetization solution with Adobe’s robust cross-platform content protection offering to provide seamless accessibility and scalability for high-quality video delivered online and on device via Adobe Flash technology. The integration enables content providers and media companies to more effectively monetize content through a variety of models in a shorter time to market.

The integration allows for quick and easy deployment of Adobe Flash Access as part of Ooyala’s online video technology offering. Flash Access is a content protection and monetization solution that protects delivery of professional video content, including video on demand, rental and electronic sell-through.

‘We developed Flash Access to help content owners, distributors, and advertisers realize new sources of revenue by providing seamless access to premium content,’” said Pritham Shetty, vice president of video solutions, Adobe. “Ooyala powers video for some of the biggest and most advanced media companies in the world. Now those customers can immediately start leveraging the benefits – including scalability and protection – of Ooyala and Flash Access.”

Yahoo! Japan, the largest video publisher in Japan, has adopted Flash Access in its use of Ooyala’s technology to comply with content protection as it delivers professional video to the over 99 million Internet users in Japan.
