Platform ‘n,’ Poland’s pay-tv platform, is adding five new HD channels to its programming line-up:
‘n’ Premium 1 and 2, Platform ‘n’s two new super premium HD channels, will take subscribers to the next level in entertainment by featuring an unmatched, premium lineup of the most popular blockbuster movies, most recent Hollywood releases and the best of sports, including Champions League and Europa League games.
TVN 7 HD is an entertainment channel that complements TVN’s offer by broadcasting feature films and television series. TVN 7 HD started broadcasting in March 2002, as the second (after TVN) standard-definition free television channel of the ITI Group. TVN 7 HD delivers a wide range of in-house productions, movies and series, such as “Monk,” a popular American comedy-drama detective series; “Cold Case,” a series about a fictionalized Philadelphia Police Department division that specializes in investigating cold cases; and “Friends,” the popular American sitcom describing life of a group of friends in Manhattan; and many others.
TVN Turbo HD is Poland’s first thematic channel aimed at men and dedicated primarily to motorization. The channel started broadcasting in standard definition in December 2003, and early in its first year was ranked fifth among all of the thematic channels in Poland. TVN Turbo HD’s programming schedule is constantly updated with wide range of automotive programs, as well as a variety of in-house productions and foreign acquisitions. Among its most popular programs are: “Red Bull X-Fighters,” “Cruiser,” “Note! Pirate,” “Turbo Camera” and “Moto-on.”
TVN Style HD is a thematic channel focused on women’s lifestyles, health and beauty. The channel was launched in standard definition by the ITI Group in August 2004. Among its signature programs are: “Nigella Kitchen,” a popular culinary cooking show; “What not to wear,” the iconic BBC program that gives women tips for avoiding common, everyday dressing mistakes; “Hell’s kitchen,” the popular cooking program from world-famous chef, Gordon Ramsay; “Tori & Dean: sTORIbook Weddings,” a reality television series following celebrities turned wedding planners Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott; and many others.
