Swisscom TV subs up 35%

Swisscom has posted a slight fall in first half-year earnings but remained positive on new business thanks to a growing customer base. Net profit dropped 3.5 per cent to €772 million, in line with expectations.

Swisscom’s IPTV service “Swisscom TV” proved a success story in 2012 H1, with subscribers up 35.5 per cent from one year previosuly, including 86,000 new customers in the first half of 2012 alone.

A total of 699,000 customers are now using bundled products, such as the triple-play package ‘Vivo Casa’, up 36.5 per cent on the previous year.
