Pietersen’s latest team is ESPN

ESPN STAR Sports (ESS), has announced that controversial (former?) England star batsman Kevin Pietersen will be a part of ESPN STAR Sports’ presentation and analysis team for ICC World Twenty20 to be played in Sri Lanka. Pietersen will play an important role in the publicity and promotion of ESS’s broadcast of ICC World Twenty20.
This will be the first time that he will feature on live broadcast as an analyst. Pietersen was named player of the tournament at the last edition of ICC World Twenty20 tournament held in West Indies in 2010 but is not playing this time because of the schism with English cricket authorities and selectors over his admitted derogatory texts about team mates sent to opposition players in the S. African team. English fans are still waiting to hear the exact contents of the texts which it is alleged contained tactical advice on how to dismiss the England captain.
Announcing the induction of Pietersen, Peter Hutton, Managing Director, ESPN STAR Sports, said, “We’re delighted that one of the world games biggest names is part of our team, and look forward to hearing the insights of someone who knows the format and knows the current stars inside out”.
Pietersen, said, “I am very excited about working with ESPN STAR Sports covering the ICC World Twenty20 watching England defend their title.”
