Sky Italia launches James Bond channel

October 1, 2012

Sky Italia has launched its Sky Cinema 007 – a channel dedicated to the saga of James Bond for the whole month of October thanks to the licence agreement with MGM, similar to the channel to be launched later this week by BSkyB. It is the first time that Sky has dedicated a channel to a film cycle, a new experiment for Sky in line with its aim to enhance the viewing offer and experience of its customers.

Sky Cinema 007 will offer a 24/7 programming schedule which will include the 22 James Bond official movies and two non official movies including the premier of the original feature film documentary “Everything or Nothing: The Untold Story of 007”. The whole broadcasting will be in HD and the channel will be available on Sky On Demand.

This licence with MGM is part of the renewed partnership between Sky and MGM thanks to which Sky Cinema Classics is going to host the best of the MGM catalogue in HD, with 180 titles per year.
