Sky Cloud WiFi app 1m downloads

Sky Broadband has reached the one millionth download of its Sky Cloud WiFi app, enabling customers to benefit from free, unlimited and easy-to-use WiFi on the move This is according to figures released by the ISP following the launch of its Sky Cloud WiFi app five months ago.

Since the app went live on 12th April this year, the service has seen 25 million individual sessions with more than 1.5 million sessions now being recorded per week.

The free app is available to Sky Broadband customers as part of the Broadband Unlimited, Fibre Unlimited and Connect packages. It gives customers the ability to automatically connect to hotspots on The Cloud’s network, without having to re-enter a username and password every time. Users are able to register up to six devices including smartphones, tablets and laptops once the app has been downloaded from the App Store on iPhone and iPad or Google Play for selected Android smartphones.
