Sky Deutschland sales up 17%, Sky+ doubles

Sky Deutschland reports its 2012 full-year results with sales up and EBITDA much improved but still negative. Sales rose 17 per cent to €1.33 billion and EBITA gained €104 million to end at -€51 million.

Annual ARPU was up €1.44 to €31.90 reflecting a very competitive price market as HD subs climbed 56 per cent to 1.514 million and Sky+ subs more than doubled to 929,000. Total subs climbed 12 per cent to 3.36 million. Sky Go customer sessions were up 25.7 million to 33.3 million (+335 per cen).

Sky Deutschland confirmed its forecast that Full year 2013 EBITDA was expected to be positive, and to grow strongly thereafter.
