By and large Iran’s state-backed TV broadcasters are seeing their channels removed from the world’s airwaves, but that hasn’t stopped the regime from promising two new TV services.

Salamat (which is devoted to medical matters) and Tamasha (entertainment) TV channels, Fars news agency reported on March 1st, although there’s no mention as to when the channels will actually get on air.

“President Ahmadinezhad, the head of Iran’s Voice and Vision Organization, Ezzatollah Zarghami, and the deputy head of Iran’s Voice and Vision Organization, Ali Darabi, will attend the official launch”, Fars said.
