March 11, 2013
Vipnet, Telekom Austria’s Croatian subsidiary, has acquired local satellite TV platform Digi TV, owned by Romania’s RCS&RDS, allowing it to expand its multi-play offering in the country.
Digi TV will be integrated into Vipnet, and satellite TV will become a standard part of the service offering under the Vip brand. Digi TV is a leading provider of digital television services in the Croatian market. It launched in 2006 and turned in revenues of nearly €2 million in 2012.
“We are delighted about the expansion of our portfolio. The acquisition of Digi TV turns Vipnet into a full player and a comprehensive communications service provider“, said Mladen Pejkoviæ, CEO of the Croatian subsidiary Vipnet.
