Inview, a provider of end-to-end Smart TV ecosystems, has signed an agreement with Altech Multimedia, a provider of innovative products and services to the Global Multimedia market, to develop low cost broadcast and connected TV solutions for Africa, the Middle East and emerging markets.
Altech Multimedia will port Inview’s Liberator platform onto its latest set-top boxes, ranging from broadcast entry level devices to connected hybrid DVRs, to create solutions that are relevant to both emerging markets and more established digital TV regions.
Inview’s Liberator platform and cloud service is a cost-effective solution as it delivers content and services seamlessly over both broadcast and broadband channels. It has an ultralight software footprint, enabling it to work on even basic set-top boxes. The Liberator platform also comes with a 3rd generation Smart EPG based on Inview’s long standing expertise in user interfaces and the user experience, and can be fully integrated into existing back office systems.

The user interface delivers content seamlessly and the platform is supported by ongoing service, development and back office integration to make it suitable for integration with operator’s existing infrastructure. Altech Multimedia is an innovative company with a strong foothold in Africa and we feel that this partnership provides a strong offering for this market.”
Peter Balchin of Altech Multimedia added: “By incorporating Inview’s Liberator platform into our product offering we can offer operators a cost effective, reliable connected platform that can be deployed at all subscription levels, creating one unified brand experience.”
Inview’s Liberator platform is a turnkey, modular smart TV ecosystem, which provides a seamless broadcast and connected TV experience that is easily customisable. Its compact platform software and existing cloud-based service can be rapidly deployed and provide the operator access to a wide range of user data and statistics.
