Hutton to join MP & Silva

MP & Silva, the international media rights company, has announced that Peter Hutton is the new Chief Operating Officer of the MP & Silva Group.

MP & Silva has seen a rapid growth since 2004 and Hutton will add all his long broadcasting experience to lead the Group’s global commercial strategy. Hutton was the managing director of ESPN Star Sports, the Asian regional broadcaster, which has rebranded as Fox Sports in South East Asia. After working for the BBC, ITV and Sky Sports as a reporter/presenter for nearly a decade, in 1993 he joined IMG-TWI as the first producer of the magazine show Futbol Mundial. In 1994 he launched IMG’s Indian office and went onto become head of production for IMG in Asia. In 2002 he helped start Taj Television/Ten Sports in Dubai, becoming COO of the channel before finalising the sale to Zee TV.Since 2010, he has worked for News Corp, setting up their international sports syndication business, sitting on the board of Setanta Africa and becoming the final Managing Director of Espn Star Sports before the business was split into smaller territories.

Hutton will be based in MP & Silva’s London office starting from July 2013.
