In addition to the news programming, so far announced is an 11 hour schedule of rolling news a day, with sports and entertainment news programmes in development.

The channel is also hiring speciality staff. Already on the manifest is the Ali Veshi hour, currently called ‘Real Money’. Veshi is a highly-regarded Canadian journalist and well known to viewers of CNN’s services where he was the network’s Chief Business Correspondent.

The channel, which gets on air thanks to its purchase of Current TV last year, has yet to name its ‘President’ and various names have been circulating including Jon Klein from CNN and David Westin (ABC News).
