IMG markets Premier League in Spain, Andorra

IMG Media, a division of IMG Worldwide, has secured a three year deal to market the Premier League media rights in Spain and Andorra.
IMG acquired the rights from the Premier League to the 2013/14, 2014/15 and 2015/16 seasons and is now in negotiations with prospective broadcasters to show live and highlights action from the Barclays Premier League, which kicks off on August 17th.
Michael Mellor, Senior Vice President and Head of Football, IMG Media, said: “Spain is one of the key European territories for the Premier League so we are delighted to have bought the rights.
IMG has also marketed Premier League rights for Japan, Vietnam and Mongolia in Asia and in the Balkan region, as well as securing the worldwide rights for in-ship and in-flight, including exploitation of the Premier League on Sport 24, its bespoke 24/7 sports channel for the airlines and cruise ships.
