RTL channels for Magine

Mediengruppe RTL Deutschland, the German media company, is making six of its channels available to German viewers via Magine – the online TV delivery platform.
This content agreement is the first of its kind in Germany for the Scandinavian TV service. The platform will be offering RTL, VOX, n-tv, RTL NITRO, Super RTL and RTL II in its subscription service package.
Magine is currently available on Apple devices and Samsung Smart TVs. Additional TV platforms and an Android version will soon be on the market.
Marc Schröder, Executive Board Member of Mediengruppe RTL Deutschland and Managing Director of RTL interactive commented, “By distributing our linear TV programmes via Magine, the viewers have an additional option to receive our free TV offering via the Internet. At the same time, Magine’s user friendliness is unique. That is why we see such great potential in this collaboration.”
Since its initial launch this March in Sweden, the Magine service has been very successful. There, Magine is working together with the national television stations SVT and TV4 as well as international channels and brands such as Discovery, CNN International, BBC, Eurosport, National Geographic, Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network.
