Moto GP on Sirius XM

McWilliams, Valencia MotoGP Test 2004In time for the weekend’s action Stateside, Sirius XM Radio and rights-holder Dorna Sports revealed an agreement to make SiriusXM the exclusive North American radio broadcaster of the FIM Road Racing World Championship Grand Prix (MotoGP), marking the national US radio début of the world’s premier motorcycle racing series.

SiriusXM’s coverage started over the weekend of August 16-18 with the Red Bull Indianapolis Grand Prix at the world-renowned Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Subscribers could hear the live turn-by-turn broadcast of the MotoGP race, from start to finish, on Sunday, August 18.

Each Grand Prix broadcast throughout the remainder of the 2013 season will air on Sirius channel 93, XM channel 209, and on channel 966 on the SiriusXM Internet Radio App and online at SiriusXM.com.

“MotoGP showcases some of the most thrilling racing on wheels. It is a terrific addition to the SiriusXM sports lineup and enhances our robust offering of international sports,” said Scott Greenstein, SiriusXM’s President and Chief Content Officer. “We’re excited to give our subscribers live access to these exciting events, allowing them to experience the extraordinary skill of these riders as they compete here and around the globe.”
