Tivùsat adds 10 new channels to DTH platform

Italian DTH platform Tivùsat has added the HD versions of RAI’s three main TV channels and will soon also add seven new channels from broadcasting group LT Multimedia. Rai 1 HD, Rai 2 HD and Rai 3 HD are respectivively available on positions 101, 102 and 103.
In addition, Tivùsat has activated seven new channels (positions 40-46), which will be provided by thematic channel producer LT Multimedia, in the DVB-S2 standard. One of them will be Arturo, an entertainment channel already available on DTT in Italy and dedicated to an adult female audience.
According to unconfirmed reports, the new channels should formally launch 28 October.
LT Multimedia’s channel portfolio includes Alice (dedicated to cooking), Arturo, Leonardo (home decoration), Marcopolo (travel and tourism) and Nuvolari (extreme sports and adventure). The company recently acquired the Sportitalia, Sportitalia 2, and Sportitalia 24 channels, which broadcast nationwide via DTT.
