Vision247: Dubai is next centre for IPTV

October 31, 2013

Vision247 has chosen Dubai as the hub for its MENA operations, where the company will target operators and ISP’s who require high quality and cost effective solutions for the delivery of IPTV.

The market is being driven by three factors:
·         Regulatory support for OTT delivery of video
·         Roll out of fast broadband to the home
·         Development of 4G mobile phone networks

This enables fixed line and mobile operators in the region to deploy new IP-based television and video services to the home, the mobile phone and the tablet.

Vision247’s Perception lets operators differentiate service offerings and quickly monetise video content. Perception™ is a fully scalable multi-screen IPTV platform offering digital, SD, HD and 3D television. Perception enables users to watch live streaming and catch up TV, with features including pause live TV, rewind and programme restart as well as recording programmes to a networked Personal Video Recorder. The platform also offers a full VoD suite that is highly secure and easy to use.

Tanya Vidmar, Managing Director MENA, Vision247 says: “Perception offers a single platform enabling operators to quickly roll out new television and video services to their customers. A strong wired and wireless infrastructure combined with investment pedigree gives Dubai the capacity to become the major hub for IPTV services throughout the Middle East.”

Vision247 works closely with content owners across the Middle East, including Al Majd Holy Qur’an, Al-Sira, Al Majd Al Hadith al Nabawi, Al Nas TV and the Iqraa channels, to deliver a mix of cultural and religious programming in both Arabic and English.
