Knetik Media, a trans media platform company with expertise in over-the-top video, new media and gaming, is partnering with the owner of a major content library to launch a direct to consumer video on-demand service based on a collection of classic Hollywood films, television shows and music videos.
Working with this private content library, Knetik Media is in a position to deploy over 8,700 hours of Hollywood-produced films, television series and cartoons. Included in this collection is a large assortment of music videos produced by well-known rock bands originating in the 1970’s – 1980’s.
Knetik Media plans to launch the new content service by early 2014. They will control global distribution rights for the collection. The Central Florida based company plans to use its network of regional marketing partners around the globe to distribute the content. Initial market forays will include the Middle-East and South Asia as well as seeking marketing partnerships in North America.
Knetik Media Chief Executive Officer Shane Robinett said the content partnership will open up to the world an eclectic collection from the golden age of television and radio.
