Base79 creates celebrity network with Insanity

November 6, 2013

Base79, the International Network for Video Creators, Content Owners and Brands, has signed Insanity Talent to support Insanity’s global clients with their online video presence on YouTube. The deal will enable Insanity’s clients to benefit from YouTube’s largest Multi Channel Network outside North America, Base79.

The ‘Insanity Network’, which has been formed by Insanity in partnership with digital content veterans, Pete Gibbons, and Anwar Nuseibeh, is designed to develop an online community of fans for their clients predominantly on YouTube. This means, celebrities like actor Danny Dyer and TV presenter Lydia Bright will have their own YouTube channels for their fans to follow and enjoy.

Base79 runs 1,400 YouTube channels for over 800 premium content partners with over 700 million video views a month. Their expertise will allow Insanity’s client to find new audiences and new ways to be in touch with their passionate fan base. Top of the new roster will be channels with original content from Danny Dyer, Lydia Bright and MistaJam.

Patrick Walker, Chief Content Officer at Base79 said “To work with such a fantastic and diverse group of personalities and to help them produce great video’s that bring them closer to their fans is very exciting for us. Base79 has helped grow audiences and monetize video content for hundreds of individuals and brands over the last five years, helping to produce and distribute over 2 million videos. I am looking forward to bringing fantastic content led by the Insanity talent to new audiences through this exciting and UK first partnership.”
