November 12, 2013

Digisoft.tv (Ireland) and Discover Digital (South Africa) have signed a development and agency agreement at Africa Com, in the presence of the Irish Minister for Trade and Development Joe Costello T.D, who is leading an Enterprise Ireland Trade Mission to South Africa and Nigeria. The focus of the mission will be growth sectors such as e-Learning / education, financial services technologies and telecoms.

In essence the Discover Digital and Digisoft.tv program promotes OTT Video supporting the distribution of TVoD educational and entertainment content in hard to reach and less connected environments.

Digisoft.tv will manage this development effort from their headquarters in Cork, Ireland. Pat Mc Donagh, Chairman, Digisoft.tv said “This agreement represents a significant milestone for the African market, which has much potential. However it needs unique solutions which we can supply using a combination of Digisoft.tv’s technical expertise in the entertainment and education market, along with the vision of Discover Digital to make this agreement and overall solution possible.”

“The agreement between Digisoft.tv and Discover Digital will create jobs in both Ireland and Africa,” said Joe Costello, Minister for Trade & Development. “It marks Digisoft.tv’s entry into the African market, which is increasingly a key growth market for Irish companies. Indeed, as the dynamic South African economy continues to grow, so too do the opportunities for Irish companies to win new business”.
