Verizon adds 16 channels to FiOS

Verizon FiOS TV customers now have more entertainment choices while on the go, with the addition of 16 new channels to Verizon’s FiOS Mobile App. This brings to 25 the number of live channels available.
US customers who have the FiOS Mobile App – which is free – will now be able to live stream the new channels from eligible devices, including tablets and smartphones, both in and outside the home. The channels are: AXS TV, beIN Sport, beIN Sport Espanol, Bloomberg Television, Cine Sony Television, Cooking Channel, Encore, FEARnet, NFL RedZone (tablet only), Showtime, Showtime Extreme, Sony Movie Channel, Starz, Trinity Broadcast, Universal Sports and TVGN.
“Quality entertainment you watch from almost anywhere is the promise of the FiOS Mobile App,” said John Wimsatt, Verizon’s senior vice president of product development. “The programing available will satisfy a wide variety of people, from sports fans to avid moviegoers, but we’re not done yet. Close collaboration with content and software partners allows us to deliver a seamless customer experience that will continue to become more robust and offer more variety over time.”
