New boss at NHK

Japanese press reports have identified Katsuto Momii as the next president of public broadcaster NHK. Momii was a senior executive a conglomerate Mitsui & Co.
The broadcaster’s Board of Governors is reportedly holding a meeting on December 20th in order to confirm the appointment, states the Yomiuri Shimbun newspaper. The new appointee will replace Masayuki Matsumoto, who steps down on January 24th.
Momii joined Mitsui in 1965 and was president of a US division of the company, and a vice-president of the parent business. He is currently a special advisor to Nihon Unisys.
