Inview to reveal next generation OTT solution at TV Connect 2014

Inview Technology, the broadcast and OTT services specialist, today announced the launch of its latest cost-effective solution for VOD and IPTV at TV Connect, 18-20 March in London.

Inview has developed the platform for a highly portable HDMI dongle which enables users to view content such as VoD, live streamed channels and social networking apps on any television whilst controlling what they watch using their mobile phones.

Ken Austin, Vice Chairman of Inview Technology commented: “HDMI dongles can address multi-screen, multi-room applications, but they´re also important because they can provide a beachhead for Operators to deploy content into none Pay TV homes.”

“We´ve developed the HDMI concept further to fully integrate TV into the mobile device experience.  Primarily, it´s a platform for operators to deploy their content, but it´s also a cool new way to interact with your TV.”

“The clunky old TV remote control is a thing of the past, you now interact with your TV the same way you do with your mobile devices.  The TV provides the display for content and discovery, the mobile device provides gesture input to your TV.”

“You can also take your content with you and view on your mobile device or on another TV with your dongle.  We think this flexibility and low cost combined with compelling operator content will be a winning combination.”

It presents the next generation of media play technology and combines the large TV experience with the sleek proficiency of the mobile device.  Its stylish customisable user interface is intuitive and easy to use – with just 4 sweeping gestures on a mobile phone to access a wide range of features.

Inview will be demonstrating its latest innovative OTT and broadcast services and solutions at TV Connect in London, stand 121 from 18 – 20 March, 2014.
