April 3, 2014

Genexis, the independent FTTH home gateway supplier, has announced the official launch of its new Digital Residential Gateway (DRG) product line. The DRG700 version 2 introduces a visual redesign as well as new features such as dual-concurrent and 11.ac Wireless-LAN. Multiple European customers have already ordered the 11.ac variant of the DRG700v2. Deliveries will start in June and more than 50.000 units will be shipped this year.

“With the large installed base of our DRG product line and strong demand from our customers to offer the latest wireless standards, the DRG700v2 comes at the right moment,” says Tom Andersen, Director of Product Line Management at Genexis. “The DRG700v2 is fully compatible with the existing DRG installed base, enabling a smooth upgrade scenario for our customers. With the addition of dual concurrent and 11.ac wireless they can continue to offer the latest HD TV and broadband services to the consumer, now and in the future.”

The DRG700v2 product line is Genexis’ all-in-one FTTH home gateway solution. The combination of a Fiber Termination Unit with a click-on Residential Gateway offers a complete solution for in-home fiber broadband services. The product includes a Gigabit LAN, telephony, CATV and the latest in wireless standards, such as 11.ac and dual concurrent WLAN. The DRG700v2 is manageable via various management and provisioning methods, such as TR-069, DHCP/TFTP, CLI and GAPS (Genexis Automatic Provisioning System).
