Currently some 64 per cent of Russian homes are subscribing to pay-TV either by cable or DTH. The top seven Russian operators account for some 80 per cent of the market. Tricolor TV leads the pack with 10.44 million subscribing customers, with Rostelcom being Russia’s Number 2 player with 7.61 million.

However, Orion Express (with some 2.13 million) showed the largest year-on-year growth, expanding its client base by 17 per cent.
