RGB Networks, a provider of solutions for multiscreen video delivery, has partnered with Pi Telecom, a specialist in the development of interactive IP video solutions, to deliver a full, end-to-end software-based OTT solution. As a subsidiary of top Russian system integrator BCC, Pi Telecom represents the integrator’s operations outside of Russia.

Pi Telecom’s MediaStage family of products enables the realisation of a wide range of interactive TV solutions and can be integrated seamlessly with existing services for a Hybrid IPTV/OTT service, or scaled up to accommodate a full scale OTT rollout. And, when coupled with RGB’s software-based transcoding/packaging portfolio, as part of its CloudXtream initiative, providers are delivered a reliable, end-to-end OTT/IPTV solution that is unmatched by other vendors in the market. Capable of being hosted in either public or private cloud environments, the solution can be quickly deployed and can instantly scale to accommodate customer demand. The partnership offers smaller European operators the ability to take advantage of moving applications to agile cloud environments as part of their long-term business plans.

“From our conversations with providers we understand that they are looking for a cost effective, end-to-end solution capable of delivering a full range of services to a myriad of devices, regardless of network,” said Arie Aig, CEO at Pi Telecom. “MediaStage – integrated with RGB’s transcoding and packaging products – enables rapid introduction of services. We chose RGB Networks for its broad, operational experience and the high-quality and reliability of its product portfolio.”
