LIWEST selects ARRIS E6000 Converged Edge Router

June 8, 2014

LIWEST Kabelmedien GmbH deployed the E6000 Converged Edge Router (CER) from ARRIS Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: ARRS), ensuring the service provider to deliver a 250 Mbps capacity high speed internet service to its customers and to ensure 1Gbps for future.

Today’s consumers demand better access to more content on more devices than ever. The ARRIS E6000 CER is a solution based on the Converged Cable Access Platform (CCAP) specification that enables operators like LIWEST to address these challenges and transition to IP content delivery. The ARRIS E6000 CER platform is the industry’s leading CCAP solution, providing service to millions of subscribers worldwide. LIWEST will utilise the E6000 CER in tandem with the ARRIS TG682 cable modem/gateway, which is already widely deployed to its subscriber base.

“At LIWEST, we are committed to providing the ultimate broadband experiences to our subscribers,” said Hubert Riedl, VP Products & Services at LIWEST. “The ARRIS E6000 CER offers new levels of density, capacity, and operational efficiency that enable us to expand our bandwidth and capacity and scale to a range of new advanced services that will delight our subscribers.”

“The ARRIS E6000 CER empowers LIWEST to operate smarter networks that deliver the super-fast broadband speeds to attract and retain customers,” said Steve McCaffery, Senior Vice President, EMEA & Asia Pacific, ARRIS. “The E6000 CER is a proven global solution that uses much less space and power than existing architectures, while delivering remarkable downstream and upstream capacity. Our work with LIWEST is a prime example of ARRIS’s collaboration with customers around the world to usher in the next era of content delivery.”
