INSIDE Secure DRM for Intel Android mobiles

June 26, 2014

INSIDE Secure, a specialist in embedded security solutions for mobile and connected devices, will enable Digital Rights Management (DRM) technology for protection of premium content on Intel-based mobile devices running Android. The challenge of content protection on mobile devices has deterred many content service providers from offering premium content to mobile markets. The technology allows Intel to take advantage of INSIDE Secure’s Downloadable DRM Fusion Agent and enable its customers to deliver their secured content services on Intel-based Android devices.

Downloadable DRM Fusion Agent allows rapid creation of branded secure mobile video and audio apps across all mobile devices, connected set top boxes and Smart TVs. By adding support for Intel-based devices, INSIDE Secure will make content protection available for more consumers, who can expect easy, convenient and mobile access to latest movies, TV shows and protected audio streams, including radio.

“The ability to enable content access anytime, anywhere and from any device is a crucial success factor for any digital content service,” said Simon Blake Wilson, executive vice president of the Mobile Security Business Division of INSIDE Secure. “In order to meet these consumer demands and achieve success in emerging digital markets broadcasters, content owners, mobile operators and service providers must be able to support a variety of purchasing and consumption models. The foundation behind any flexible pricing and licensing plan is security.”
