ViaSat blasts high-demand downloads

Broadband satellite operator ViaSat is removing all limits to its top-of-the-range ‘Exede’ high-speed Internet service.  ViaSat’s ‘Freedom’ scheme allows users up to 150 GBs of data per month without any caps, and more than suitable for streaming movies and the like. The new service goes live on August 18th, and is priced extremely competitively at $70 a month.

Recently the FCC in its annual ‘Measuring Broadband America’ placed ViaSat’s Exede performance at the top of the charts for the second consecutive year.

Initially the service will be rolled out to selected portions of the USA. The operator’s second satellite, VisSat-2, will launch in 2016 and further expand the Exede service.

“With the recent growth in household data usage, especially for streaming services, ViaSat is again leading the industry in addressing customers’ needs for higher data volumes with its Freedom plan,” says ViaSat.
