TCL, Hisense unveil Roku Smart TVs
TCL (The Creative Life), one of the fastest growing brands in the US, and streaming platform Roku have confirmed the availability of the TCL Roku TV line-up. TCL will offer four TCL Roku TV models. Beginning August 19th, US consumers can pre-order models from Amazon.com. TCL Roku TV models will be available from major retailers nationwide in the coming weeks.
Separately, Hisense, the fourth largest global TV manufacturer, and Roku announced availability of the Hisense Roku TV H4 Series to the US market. Beginning in late September, the Hisense Roku TV H4 Series will be available in 40-inch, 48-inch, 50-inch and 55-inch models at major national retailers.
TCL Roku TV is a new Smart TV that uses the Roku OS to give consumers quick-and-easy access to all of their entertainment from a personalised home screen. The TCL Roku TV line-up features TCL’s stylish slim-frame design, advanced-panel technology, and premium LED backlighting that offers enhanced brightness and contrast.
“TCL Roku TV is the result of combining one of the world’s best-selling TV brands with Roku, the US’s most popular streaming platform,” said Chris Larson, vice president of sales and marketing at TCL. “Working together we developed a high-quality and very affordable Smart TV that features a stylish design, access to the most streaming channels, and a user experience that can’t be equalled by other Smart TVs on the market today,” he claimed.
“TCL is one of the best names worldwide in TVs and is quickly emerging as a popular TV brand in the US,” said Jim Funk, vice president of product management at Roku. “We have blended the best of both of our worlds to build a remarkable Smart TV that gives consumers a simple way to access endless entertainment whether pay TV, over the air or streamed.”
“Roku is the recognised leader in streaming entertainment to the TV, so integrating its powerful operating system, including access to the most comprehensive streaming channel store available, into a Hisense TV is a revolutionary move,” said Peter Erdman, vice president of consumer electronics, Hisense USA. “This deep partnership has allowed us to create the Hisense Roku TV H4 Series which presents consumers with an affordable, simple to use Smart TV.”
