Levira opens new play-out facility in Bratislava

Levira, a leading independent TV-play-out service provider in Northern Europe, has commenced installation of a new state-of-the-art play-out facility in Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia. The brand new multichannel play-out facility starts operating in late fall 2014.
Located geographically in the heart of Central Europe, Bratislava has excellent connections to the whole region. Thus the new facility will be very well placed to cover the needs of broadcasters targeting Central-Eastern and Central Europe as well as the Balkan markets.

The new Bratislava facility will have a capacity of 20 channels at start with potential for further expansion. A full range of services for international, regional and local clients will be provided from the new facility: HD-SD linear play-out and opt-out, OTT play-out, encoding, distribution, ingest, QC, archiving and repurposing to name a few. In addition, it will serve as a DR facility for Levira’s main facility in Tallinn, Estonia.
