Digital radio sales plummet

Digital radio sales have hit a six-year low according to Ofcom, with a period of consecutive growth in digital’s share of listening coming to a halt.
Despite a cross-industry marketing campaign,1.7 million digital audio broadcasting (DAB) sets were sold in the year to the end of June this year, down 9.1 per cent on the previous 12 months and the lowest of any year since at least 2009.
