Roku powers Sky Deutschland Online TV Box

Roku and Sky Deutschland have entered into a strategic agreement using the Roku streaming platform for the development of the Sky Online TV Box. Sky Online (see story above) will be available in the coming months through the Sky Online TV Box, which will also have access to the online video library Snap. Sky Deutschland is the second international pay-TV provider to partner with Roku under the Roku Powered program.
“Sky Deutschland is a very forward-thinking company that is embracing the Internet to give consumers a new era in television,” said Steve Shannon, general manager of Content and Services at Roku. “The Roku Powered program allows Sky Deutschland to quickly and cost-effectively deliver the new Sky Online streaming service to consumers.”
