wwe-Seth_RollinsWWE (World Wrestling Entertainment) has confirmed that the WWE Network will finally launch in the UK and Ireland on January 19th.

WWE chairman Vince McMahon made the announcement in a video on the company’s website, stating: “… the WWE Network is coming to the United Kingdom and Ireland, on Monday, January 19th, and this time we really mean it. With the WWE Network you get 24/7 programming, unlimited access to our massive video on demand library, and every pay-per-view event live, starting with the Royal Rumble later this month.”

“You’ve been waiting for a long time for the WWE Network and we thank you for your patience. Happy New Year,” he concluded.

The VoD service was originally due to launch in the UK in October of last year, but was moved back to November 3rd and then delayed again, allegedly due to a broadcast rights conflict with Sky Sports.

The service will be available on iOS and Android devices, gaming consoles, smart TVs and digital media players. Subscription costs £9.99 per month in the UK and €12.99 in Ireland, with no commitment.
