Katinakis joins UXP Systems board

UXP Systems, provider of the MINT Unified Services Platform for operators, has announced that Industry Veteran Nikos Katinakis has joined its board. Katinakis brings more than 15 years of experience in the cable and telecom markets to UXP Systems.

UXP Systems’ MINT platform powers user-centric experiences for operators including TELUS, Rogers, Columbus Communications, and Cable Bahamas. The platform simplifies their customer access journeys, while unifying and personalizing the service experience for every user, across all operator core and cloud services.

Katinakis is currently the EVP Networks and Group CTO for Reliance Jio in India. Reliance Jio is the world’s largest telecommunications startup with an array of market changing services being offered to the market.
Previously, Katinakis was the SVP of Architecture and Technology Development for Network and IT at Rogers Communications, as well as the Chief Information Security Officer, where he was responsible for the technology strategy, selection, and roadmap that guided the Rogers deployment of next generation capabilities across all access networks and all services.  He also spent several years at Ericsson, and held progressively senior management positions, culminating with his role as Chief Technology Officer for Ericsson Canada.
Katinakis is a graduate of the Electrical Engineering program at McGill University, specializing in Computer Engineering with a secondary focus in Marketing Management. He holds multiple patents in the telecommunications sector.
