By Chris Forrester
SES has switched on a 4K demo channel from Astra 4A (operating from 4.8 degrees East) and which serves the Scandinavian and Baltic regions. The demo is already up and running for viewers with suitable Ultra-HD receivers.
The channel is a duplicate of the existing 4K channel being transmitted from Astra’s 19.2/19.5 degrees East spot.
Viewers using the Viasat pay-TV bundle will be able to see the channel, which will also be used to supply content to electrical retailers for demonstration purposes.
