EPIX and DISH renew carriage agreement

February 16, 2015

EPIX and DISH Network have reached a multi-year renewal agreement for continued carriage of EPIX to DISH customers. In addition to its four channels – EPIX, EPIX 2, EPIX 3 and EPIX Drive-In – DISH customers in the US who subscribe to EPIX will have access to more than 2,000 VoD titles on DISHAnywhere.com, EPIX.com and via the DISH Anywhere and EPIX apps on hundreds of devices.

This renewed agreement between DISH and EPIX will add popular new releases such as Transformers: Age of Extinction, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Interstellar and The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1. DISH customers will continue to have access to some of the biggest new films from EPIX’s studio partners – Lionsgate, MGM, Viacom and its movie studio unit Paramount Pictures – as well as great documentaries and special event music and comedy programming.

“DISH is pleased to continue providing to our customers the high-quality movies and special events from EPIX,” said Warren Schlichting, DISH senior vice president of programming. “Combined with our industry-leading technology, DISH customers continue to enjoy the best viewing experience of thousands of movies from EPIX, live or on-demand.”
