NBC, Gray TVE agreement

March 6, 2015

NBCUniversal and Gray Television have entered into an agreement that will expand NBCUniversal TV Everywhere offering of local NBC linear streams in the US beyond the NBC-owned stations for the first time.  The agreement enables Gray to include the live linear simulcasts of its 24 NBC affiliated television stations, including NBC network and local programming, as part of NBC’s TV Everywhere mobile and online platforms.

NBC previously launched live linear streaming of its NBC-owned television stations on desktop and mobile for customers who have pay-TV subscriptions with participating distributors.

“Today’s agreement with Gray Television will enable local viewers in Gray’s 24 markets to watch those stations’ NBC broadcasts live across multiple platforms, including on a computer, tablet or smartphone, both in and out of their homes,” said Rhonda Brockmann, SVP of Business Affairs for NBC Affiliate Relations. “We are happy to expand our partnership with Gray to these additional devices and to move together with our affiliates on to new viewing platforms.”
