WebTuner selects ALi STB chipsets

ALi Corporation, a set-top box chipset solution provider, and WebTuner, a provider of set-top and portable DVR products with a unified electronic content guide (ECG) for all digital content, have announced a design and development partnership for secure, high performance, next generation OTT, TV Extenders, and Hybrid STB solutions.
WebTuner’s hybrid compact STB solution features its ECG running on ALi’s M3733 HD hybrid system-on-chip (SoC) embedded with multiple RISC and 3D graphics processors, to deliver both broadcast and IP streams anywhere in the home over Ethernet or Wi-Fi.
