Telenor Satellite Broadcasting (TSBc), fresh with the successful launch of its giant Thor-7 satellite on April 26th, has unveiled its Q1 numbers. Thor-7 will add considerable extra capacity to the TSBc fleet and is currently undergoing in-orbit testing. It will go to its final 1 deg West location next month, and enter commercial service in the second-half of the year.
The headline numbers for TSBc showed revenues grew 3 per cent helped by the strength of the US dollar to NOK 288 million (NOK 283 million same period last year), and EBITDA of NOK 159 million (NOK 158 million last year).
The numbers translated into an operating profit of NOK 73 million (NOK 77 million).
