June 16, 2015
From Paoli-Lebailly Pascale in Paris
French public broadcaster France Télévisions has sub-licensed the 2016 Rio and 2020 Tokyo Summer Olympic Games TV rights to pay-TV group Canal+.
France Télévisions, which has traditionally had the rights to the event, will allow Canal+ to exploit all the rights and co-broadcast the competition on its Canal+ and Canal+ Sport channels, and on associated services.
France Télévisions will also keep all the rights and broadcast, live and non encrypted, the opening and closing ceremonies on its channels and digital services.
