Anvato, the US TV Everywhere platform provider, has introduced a new Live-to-VoD capability that allows content owners and programmers to create video-on-demand files from their live linear streams and syndicate these files to multiple online destinations (e.g., Netflix, Hulu) and MVPDs (e.g., cable operators and telcos) in near real time.
Available to Anvato Media Content Platform (MCP) customers, the live-to-VoD functionality enables content owners, programmers and broadcasters to syndicate their shows and other premium video assets, such as sporting events and concerts, as video-on-demand files to MVPDs as quickly as possible after the show has aired live.
“These new capabilities expand upon the cloud DVR and social syndication functionality we announced recently, and offer our customers the most advanced, integrated solution for simple and accelerated distribution of content on any screen,” said Alper Turgut, Anvato CEO. “The new live-to-VoD service is a software solution that automates asset creation and requires no human intervention. This simplification of the workflow offers outstanding value by acting as a bridge between live and on-demand, and provides benefits including lower costs, faster distribution, and convenience to programmers and MVPDs.”
