Amazon has announced a multi-territory deal with Entertainment One (eOne) that brings AMC Studios’ Fear The Walking Dead, the upcoming companion series to the hit show The Walking Dead, to Prime Video.

The show will be available exclusively for Amazon Prime members in Germany and Austria on August 24th, the day after airing on AMC in the US, making Amazon the only place to see the series in those countries.

The show will also become available to Prime members in the UK next year after premiering on AMC’s UK network this autumn. Prime members in the UK, Germany and Austria can already watch seasons 1, 2, 3 and 4 of the original hit series, The Walking Dead as part of their membership.

Fear The Walking Dead is one of the most-anticipated shows in the world and companion to one of the most successful scripted dramas in the history of television,” said Jason Ropell, Head of International Content for Amazon Video. “We recently announced that we’re bringing Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May back together to create a hugely anticipated new motoring show exclusively for Prime members, and now we’re excited to add Fear The Walking Dead. Our goal is to add shows that Prime members love—we can’t think of two sets of shows with bigger or more passionate fan bases.”
