Polish broadcaster TVN has secured an extensive exclusive agreement with Disney Media Distribution CEE. The deal is for Free TV and Basic Subscription rights, as well as Catch-Up and SVoD rights to the studio’s film and TV content.

The deal includes popular first run and library titles including box office hits such as Disney Pixar’s Inside Out, Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, Walt Disney Studios’ Cinderella and the highly anticipated Star Wars: The Force Awakens from Lucasfilm. This agreement will also allow TVN viewers to enjoy new ABC Studios series such as Wicked City and the glossy thriller The Catch, which Polish audiences will be able to watch straight after its US premiere.

Piotr Korycki, TVN Management Board Member who brokered the deal, said the structure of the agreement went beyond a standard linear deal, which perfectly fitted TVN’s strategy. “We are looking forward to setting the bar for TV and digital players even higher than before and this relationship gives TVN a big advantage in both fields.”
