Movistar Plus is to launch #0, a new channel that will replace Canal Plus with programming featuring TV series, sports (Formula 1, Moto GP, football and tennis) and in-house entertainment programmes.

The channel, set to be up and running by the beginning of next year, will mostly rely on in-house programmes to draw the audiences with at least 5 hours of such content per day.

“We are a hashtag, many faces, many new ideas. We have different entertainment proposals, sports with signature, surprises, formats, a list of new programmes, five fresh hours a day to start from scratch. From #0”, stated the company in a press release.

The new TV channel is the result of the merger between Movistar and Canal Plus.
