ITV makes leadership changes

January 18, 2016

ITV has announced that Director of Television Peter Fincham has decided to step down after eight years at the broadcaster and will be succeeded by Kevin Lygo, currently Managing Director of ITV Studios.

The company also announced that Julian Bellamy, Managing Director of ITV Studios in the UK, will move up to replace Lygo.  David McGraynor, ITV Studios Finance Director, will take on the new role of Chief Finance and Operating Officer of the Studios division.

Adam Crozier, Chief Executive of ITV, said: “Peter came to see me in September to say that he wanted to step down and whilst I am sorry to see him leave, eight years is a long time and I fully respect his desire for a new challenge. He and I have worked closely together since I joined ITV and he has been a great creative partner and has led a brilliant creative transformation of ITV’s programming, launching some of the biggest shows on British television.  We wish him all the very best for the future.”

British press has speculated the moves are to prepare for Crozier’s departure if he decides to follow his chairman Archie Norman who is stepping down.
